Altercation Involving Two Inmates in Lincoln County Jail Leads to Charges Filed
LINCOLN COUNTY – On Thursday Oct 31, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the Lincoln County Jail regarding the report of a physical altercation between two inmates.
A 20-year-old and a 40-year-old inmate from Wausau were involved in a discussion that escalated into a physical fight. Several punches were thrown before corrections officers were able to separate the men. The investigating deputy was able to take a statement from the victim of the fight, however the suspect chose not to share any information.
Charges for felony bail jumping, battery, disorderly conduct, and strangulation will be filed against the 20-year-old suspect.
